FRED LOCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP SHOOT

Since 1995, the Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club has been holding a Sporting Clays Shoot to raise funds to provide scholarships for area senior students. This year the shoot is scheduled for Sunday May 6, 2018.

We will be offering  50 or 100 bird courses, and a meal afterwards. The 50 bird course will cost $25, including your meal; the 100 bird course will cost $45 including your meal. In both cases, each shooter will need to provide their own ammo. We look forward to seeing you again to support our program, do some shooting, enjoy your meal, and visit with fellow shooters. If you can’t be available for the shoot, please consider sponsoring a shooter ($25 or $45), sponsoring a shooting station ($25), or just making a donation to help support the Club’s scholarship program.

Without your support in this event, we would not be able to provide scholarships to the area senior students.  We annually recognize the leadership of a past president, Fred Loch, and support our right to bear arms, a constitutional right.

2nd Amend. Pa Art. 1 Harrisburg Rally bus trip – 5th Annual

Scheduled for April 30 2018 – For 5 years, FSC has joined the ranks of many at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, Pa., in support of Second Amendment and State Article 1 sec 21 Constitutional rights, along with other associated bills in the legislation with sportsmen and sportswomen topics.

For members, a low cost ($20) bus seat reservation has traditionally been reimbursed when you are on the bus (another member benefit). Non-members are also welcomed, though fee is not reimbursed. The trip has traditionally left a local gathering area (Tunkhannock Walmart parking lot) at 7:00 AM, arriving in Harrisburg just after 9:00 AM with an entertaining movie along the way. Upon arrival, there is usually some time to speak our legislators to discuss and give input on the bills of interest before it’s voted upon. There is generally several speeches and presentations given on the Capitol steps or in the scenic Rotunda as a spirited crowd is engaged. Lunch can be enjoyed in the Capitol Café, or among several of the local establishments. Departure is around 1:30 / 2:00 PM, with a stop on the way home at a point of interest such as Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops. Arrival “home” is usually around 6:00 PM.

The next trip can use your support and presence….as there is strength in numbers. Feedback from our legislators is they want to hear the point of view from their constituents on the issues that they hold dear – doing it in person is the exclamation point!

Help make the next Rally Trip the best ever by coming along on the excursion to exercise your right of free speech, support your right to bear arms, to represent your club, and help protect your sporting future!

Sign up’s will be available at the regular monthly meeting.

For any questions or also to sign up, please contact Lisa Sobuta at (570)-262-4857. You can also contact us through messenger on the club’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/factoryvillesports/
