2nd Amend. Pa Art. 1 Harrisburg Rally bus trip – 5th Annual

Scheduled for April 30 2018 – For 5 years, FSC has joined the ranks of many at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, Pa., in support of Second Amendment and State Article 1 sec 21 Constitutional rights, along with other associated bills in the legislation with sportsmen and sportswomen topics.

For members, a low cost ($20) bus seat reservation has traditionally been reimbursed when you are on the bus (another member benefit). Non-members are also welcomed, though fee is not reimbursed. The trip has traditionally left a local gathering area (Tunkhannock Walmart parking lot) at 7:00 AM, arriving in Harrisburg just after 9:00 AM with an entertaining movie along the way. Upon arrival, there is usually some time to speak our legislators to discuss and give input on the bills of interest before it’s voted upon. There is generally several speeches and presentations given on the Capitol steps or in the scenic Rotunda as a spirited crowd is engaged. Lunch can be enjoyed in the Capitol Café, or among several of the local establishments. Departure is around 1:30 / 2:00 PM, with a stop on the way home at a point of interest such as Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops. Arrival “home” is usually around 6:00 PM.

The next trip can use your support and presence….as there is strength in numbers. Feedback from our legislators is they want to hear the point of view from their constituents on the issues that they hold dear – doing it in person is the exclamation point!

Help make the next Rally Trip the best ever by coming along on the excursion to exercise your right of free speech, support your right to bear arms, to represent your club, and help protect your sporting future!

Sign up’s will be available at the regular monthly meeting.

For any questions or also to sign up, please contact Lisa Sobuta at (570)-262-4857. You can also contact us through messenger on the club’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/factoryvillesports/

FSC Cleanup / Maintenance / Improvements Days

Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club will have a Cleanup and Improvement Day on Sunday May 27, starting at 8:00am.

All Ranges will be closed to facilitate the event, and equipment will be available to accomplish the cleanup – large participation is anticipated so if you are coming and have an extra shovel, paint brushes, rakes, saws, hammers, chain saws, etc., to use or for others to use that would be appreciated.

There will be lists of tasks on site so as the clean-up and improvements can begin and get accomplished, any additional suggestions that hasn’t been identified should be added to the list (preferably before the 24th & 27th).  Bigger jobs or items that couldn’t be completed can be added to the next event.

Some of the tasks will be as simple as helping to support the folks around the club with refreshments, supplies, etc.

Any assistance to help keep your club looking and operating well and to keep dues low would be appreciated, and thanks!

2018 Events are now on the calendar!

Please take a moment to look at the upcoming events & any range closures on the calendar of events for the upcoming year.

An interesting feature is that the calendar can be “exported / uploaded” to your calendar so as not to miss a FSC event or range closure again.
