Scholastic Action Shooting Program

Scholastic Action Shooting Program

Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) – www.sssfonline.org – is the national governing body for the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP), offering youth from grade school through college the opportunity to safely participate in our exciting team-based action shooting sports! Scholastic shooting programs are very safe and well organized as partners and feeder programs for USA Olympics.

SASP is designed to instill in young people a set of values and character traits for fair play, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment. These qualities will stay with participants throughout their lifetimes, helping each young athlete reach his or her full potential.

• Youth may participate using .22 rifles, .22 handguns or centerfire handguns and rifles (pistol caliber carbines).
• Targets are steel circle or rectangular plates.
• All courses of fire are timed events.
• Youth must have attended a Hunter Safety Course and register with SASP before competing.
• All coaches/volunteers are nationally certified, and background checked – learn more at: https://sssfonline.org/scholastic-pistol-program-spp/spp-coaches-training/
