SCHOLASTIC CLAY TARGET PROGRAM
March 17, 2019 – 11A.M. – 2 P.M.

For the eleventh year, the Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club has chosen to participate in the Scholastic Clay Target Program sponsored by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. Interested youth members from the community are invited to join our sporting clays team, the FSC Clay Busters. Club membership is not required.

The Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club will host an open house on Sunday March 17, 2019 from 11:00 am. until 2:00 pm. If your child is interested in joining a team to promote the shooting sports, sportsmanship and teamwork while learning safe firearms handling under adult supervision, come join our team. Parents or guardians with children from 5th grade through 12th grade along with their child must be present in order to complete the sign-up process.

There is a $50.00 registration fee for each shooter. The shooter will need to have use of a shotgun , 12 or 20 gauge, and shells. No single shot firearms will be permitted.

Practice will be held on Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and one Sunday a month from 10am to 12pm. The season runs from April 3 until June 15. If your child is interested in participating, but you are unable to attend the open house, you may contact Fred Rose 570-903-5755 to get the necessary forms for your child. Shooters must complete 6 practice sessions with a minimum of 25 each session by June 12, 2019 to be eligible for the state championship.

This year, the state championship will be held on June 15. At the Lawrence County Sportsman’s Association, Wampum,Pa.

Sporting Clay Winter League

Sporting Clay’s Winter League 2019

Sporting Clay’s Winter League will run from January 6th to April 19th, April 19th will be the buffet and awards ceremony.  The cost to enter the league is $25.00 and includes the buffet, a tee shirt, and a chance at prizes! Prizes will be awarded to the top shooter in the senior division (65+), regular division (19-64), and junior division (18 under). A minimum of 300 targets must be shot in order to qualify for prizes. High scores are determined by the average of the highest 3 scores entered throughout the available shooting dates, scores shot on April 19th can be counted towards average.  Scores shot from 100 or 50 target rounds may be entered, two 50 target scores will be added together for a 100 target score to be eligible for averaging.  12 and 20 gauge ammunition is available for sale at the clubhouse and ear and eye protection is required when on the course.  Sign-up sheet is at the clubhouse, please include name, age, and shirt size.

Kim’s Kitchen will be open for breakfast and lunch.
